When wellhead pressure rises, the kill manifold is used to pump heavy drilling fluid into the well to balance bottom-hole pressure and prevent well kicks or blowouts. It can also be used for direct blow-out via connected lines, squeezing cement for well-fixing, or injecting water and fire suppressants.
Equipped with a Check Valve, allowing kill fluid or other fluids to be injected into the well only, preventing backflow.
